Lorraine Mangione, faculty in Counseling, Psychology, & Therapy at Antioch University New England, recently attended the American Group Psychotherapy Association’s annual conference in New York City alongside two current students, Kym Ventola and Lizbeth Duran Oden, and two program graduates, Christina Timmons and Jorie Himmel.
During the convening, Mangione co-facilitated a workshop with colleague Roz Forti, LICSW, titled The Look of Loss and Grief Today: From the Individual to the Societal Level, exploring contemporary experiences of grief across personal and collective contexts. Mangione and the Antioch attendees also gathered for the conference’s closing Saturday lunch.
While in New York City, Mangione also connected with two additional graduates, Naydine Johney and Michael Carillo, who live and work in the area, extending the conference experience into an alumni community moment.
