Antioch University’s Vince Pignatiello, PsyD, ABPP, was recently featured in the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School’s (VLACS) Professional Partner Network newsletter for his mentorship of high school students interested in psychology.
Pignatiello, Co-Chair of the Department of Clinical Psychology and Director of Antioch’s Psychological Services Center in Keene, has supported VLACS students through Career Connections presentations and one-on-one micro-internship mentoring. His work helps students explore the many possibilities within psychology, from clinical practice and research to sports psychology and forensics.
“I am always delighted by how thoughtful the students are and how varied their interests may be in the broad field of psychology,” Pignatiello shared with VLACS. “Hearing students want to work in sports psychology, engage in clinical work, conduct research, and pursue careers in forensics makes me excited for the field because of the passion and earnest interest that comes through with each student.”
Through his mentorship, Pignatiello is helping students better understand the field while encouraging the next generation of psychology professionals to explore where their interests might lead.
