Shoshana D. Kerewsky’ 98 (New England, PsyD) has published her latest novel The Codex of Christian Surname. In an alternate late Middle Ages, an intriguing stranger arrives in 13-year-old Ḥavah’s village in the Iverian mountains. Ḥavah’s life will change, but is the visitor who she seems? Sometimes dressed as male and in other guises, Ḥavah explores the region, the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, her own Xudish culture and those of Cristianismo, Islama, and Budism. She discovers the world is vaster than she could have imagined.
Kerewsky’s other books include the award-winning memoir Cancer, Kintsugi, Camino; 50 Days in May: Reflections Along the Camino de Santiago; and the textbook Finding Your Career in Human Services. She is working on her sixth book.
