Paul Bocko, PhD, Chair and Faculty in the AUNE Education Department at Antioch University’s New England Campus, will present at the 2025 National Place-based Education Conference in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
In collaboration with public, charter, and independent schools across the U.S., Paul Bocko and colleagues from Teton Science Schools (TSS) and Cottonwood School of Civics & Science (Portland, OR) will present their research on place-based, outdoor learning. Using a cooperative inquiry methodology to investigate the movement to hire place-based and outdoor learning coordinators within U.S. schools, they will speak about the impact of teaching and learning in fields, streams, neighborhoods, and cityscapes.
