Micah Depper ‘23 (New England, MS in Environmental Studies) has been honored with a 2024-25 Milken Educator Award, one of education’s most prestigious national recognitions. As the sole recipient in Maine this year and the first-ever honoree from Regional School Unit 1 (RSU 1), Depper was surprised with the award during a school-wide assembly at Bath Middle School, where he teaches seventh-grade science. The announcement was made by Milken Family Foundation Senior Program Director Greg Gallagher, alongside representatives from the Maine Department of Education.
Students, colleagues, community leaders, and media representatives joined in celebrating Depper’s achievement. As a new member of the Milken Educator Network—a nationwide community of over 3,000 distinguished educators—Depper will continue to contribute to the future of education through leadership and collaboration.
