Liz Donalds Publishes Book Series on Adoption

Liz Donalds ’12 (New England, PsyD) has published the third book in her series Exploring Adoption with Dr. Liz. Assignment: Family Tree (May 2024) joins the previously published Who is That? (Feb. 2024) and Emily’s Big Question (Oct. 2023). This compassionate children’s book series follows the journey of a group of adopted children as they navigate the twists and turns. Each book in the series focuses on one child, highlighting their personal journey and the lessons they learn along the way. The stories celebrate diversity, love, and the strength of family and friendship, and encourage children to celebrate their unique identities

Adopted and raised in Sioux City, Iowa, Donalds began working as a school psychologist with children and their families in public schools throughout the Boston area recognizing that a large portion of her caseload was children who had been adopted like herself. Passionate about helping these children, she earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Antioch and quickly became a sought-after therapist and expert. She specializes in helping adopted children and their families understand the unique joys and challenges they may face. She provides consultations, coaching, and psychological evaluations to parents contemplating international adoptions worldwide and is an active public speaker and ardent advocate for children.
