Katie Eastman ’97 (New England, PsyD) will release her latest book, The Peace Guidebook: How to Cultivate Hope, Healing, and Harmony for the Good of Humankind (Health Communications, Inc., an imprint of Simon & Schuster), on April 21, 2026. Continuing her work as a nationally recognized expert in grief, change, and personal transformation, Eastman co-authored the book with Elizabeth Hamilton-Guarino. Together, they offer a practical and inspiring roadmap for individuals and communities seeking to create meaningful change through everyday actions.

Organized around the themes of hope, healing, and harmony, the book introduces ten core principles designed to help readers navigate uncertainty, build resilience, and foster deeper connection in both their personal and professional lives. Rooted in the authors’ decades of experience supporting people through life transitions, The Peace Guidebook blends reflective exercises, real-life stories, and accessible daily practices that encourage readers to move from intention to action.

Part of a broader movement to promote peace in everyday life, the book emphasizes that meaningful change begins within—and that small, consistent acts of compassion can ripple outward to strengthen relationships, communities, and the world at large. Eastman’s latest work builds on her extensive background as a psychotherapist and coach, as well as her previous writing on growth and transformation, offering readers practical tools to integrate peace into their daily lives.
