Carol Barrett, affiliate faculty at Antioch University’s Graduate School of Leadership and Change, has published a new poetry collection, Reading Wind.
These poems celebrate the life of the author’s father, a rural physician, an accomplished musician, and a man who was one with the earth. She takes the reader on an imagery-rich journey of mourning and healing.
An interdisciplinary scholar and award-winning poet, Barrett’s work spans literature, psychology, gerontology, women’s studies, and more. She has received awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Science Foundation, and the National Institute of Mental Health.
