Congratulations to Amy Lesen, PhD, an Antioch University faculty member in Environmental Leadership and Participatory Change, who has been invited to participate in the Crosscurrents Incubator, taking place November 10–13 at Atelier de la Nature in Arnaudville, Louisiana.
The invitation-only gathering will bring together a small group of 30 artists, designers, educators, scientists, scholars, cultural leaders, and community partners to explore new approaches to the opportunities and challenges facing the Gulf region.
Hosted by the Gulf Research Program of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, Cultural Programs of the National Academy of Sciences, and Atelier de la Nature, the incubator is designed to turn ideas into action through interdisciplinary collaboration. Participants will develop new partnerships, test ideas, and explore practical approaches to research, public engagement, education, and collective problem-solving grounded in the Gulf’s cultural richness and ecological complexity.
Following the gathering, participants will have an opportunity to propose new collaborative projects for seed funding, with up to three grants and $45,000 in total funding available.
Congratulations to Amy on being selected for this exciting opportunity to collaborate across disciplines and help shape new possibilities for the Gulf region.
