Markie Twist, teaching faculty in the Division of Relational Therapies, School of Counseling, Psychology, and Therapy at Antioch University’s  New England and Seattle campuses, delivered an invited keynote at the Nordic Association of Clinical Sexology (NACS) annual conference in October 2025 in Malmö, Sweden.

Their keynote, “Exploring Organic/Human–Synthetic/Technology Relationships: A Look at Digisexuality and Digisexual Identity,” examined sexual and romantic attraction mediated by technology. Twist defined digisexuality as sexual experiences that rely on advanced technologies and noted that people may form meaningful attachments to devices and AI. They urged clinicians to apply five core digihealth principles when supporting clients—and to avoid pathologizing digisexuality.
