Fayth Parks elected President-elect of NARMH

Fayth M. Parks, Professor of Leadership and Psychology in the Graduate School of Leadership and Change, has been elected President-elect of the National Association for Rural Mental Health (NARMH), a leading national organization dedicated to advancing behavioral health across rural and frontier communities. In her new role as Vice President, Dr. Parks will provide key leadership by presiding over meetings in the President’s absence, representing NARMH at national events, and collaborating with the Board to guide strategic initiatives. She will also oversee committees and serve as a liaison to external partners, advocating for improved access, availability, and acceptability of behavioral health services in rural regions.

Parks’ election reflects both her professional expertise and her unwavering commitment to mental health equity in underserved communities. With a background rooted in psychology and leadership, she brings invaluable insight to a role that is vital to shaping the future of rural mental health policy and practice.
