Emmanuel Oluyitan ’15 (PhD, Leadership and Change) has published his latest book, The Chronology of a Life: For Everything There Is a Season, a memoir tracing the experiences and accomplishments that have shaped his life and career. The 230-page memoir follows Oluyitan’s journey through nine chapters and includes photographs and documents from throughout his life. Among the experiences he reflects on is earning his PhD in Leadership and Change from Antioch University in 2015.
Now 85 and a retired professor of communication, Oluyitan has had a wide-ranging career as an educator, broadcaster, journalist, musician, and actor. He is also the founder of the Association of Nigerians Against Corruption, an organization through which he has led workshops and seminars promoting integrity and challenging corruption in Nigeria and the United States.
His work on corruption was also central to his Antioch doctoral research. His dissertation, Combating Corruption at the Grass-Roots Level: The Case of Individual Oath Takers, later informed his 2017 book, Combatting Corruption at the Grassroots Level in Nigeria, published by Springer.
Now the author of 10 books, Oluyitan looks back with pride on his time at Antioch. “I am very proud of my degree from Antioch University,” he says.
