Carolyn Love ’13 (GSLC, PhD) was recently inducted into the prestigious Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame. A visionary changemaker and fierce advocate for justice, she is widely recognized for her leadership and unwavering commitment to equity and social transformation.
A nationally respected consultant, educator, and thought leader, Love serves as an affiliate professor of nonprofit management at Regis University and is the founder of Kebaya Consulting and Coaching. Her career spans corporate, nonprofit, and academic sectors, all unified by a deep belief in the power of community to build a more just and compassionate world.
Love is a courageous and principled leader who has mentored and championed countless women and girls of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and people with disabilities across Colorado. Her work challenges entrenched systems and inspires leaders to create more inclusive, generative, and humane workplaces. Through her leadership, she cultivates cultures where learning, equity, and transformation are not only possible—they are expected.
Her doctoral research at Antioch, Generations Apart: A Mixed Methods Study of Black Women’s Attitudes About Race and Social Activism, offers a powerful exploration of racial justice across generations. Her scholarship amplifies the lived experiences of Black women and examines the enduring impact of gendered racial stereotyping on leadership, identity, and activism.
