Kevin Lyness, PhD publishes in Groves Monographs on Marriage and Family

The Groves Monographs on Marriage and Family is an edited book series, beginning in 2010, based on the annual Groves Conference on Marriage and Family. Groves Monographs publishes work on the leading edges of theory development and empirical research in the field of family studies. Individual volumes are edited by the chairs of the annual Groves Conferences.

Dr. Lyness along with Dr. Judith Fischer from Texas Tech University edited Volume 5: Gender, Sexual Identity, and Families: The Personal Is Political as members of the Editorial Board for the Groves Conference on Marriage and Family, an interdisciplinary,inter professional organization.

Additionally. Dr. Lyness wrote the Introduction: Gender, Sexual Identity, and Families: The Personal is Political, setting the stage for the volume and contributed to Chapter 11: Interesting Journeys: Administration, Gender, and Diversity which began as a panel discussion at the Groves Conference meeting in Denver, 2016. As a panelist he was uniquely qualified to comment on the issues of gender and diversity having experienced these in his multiple roles, including administration, teaching and service.
