Welcome to Fall. Sitting in my Ohio office, I can see the changing colors of the leaves and clearly feel the coolness in the air. I am excited to share a few updates from Graduate Management Studies, which includes MBA, MA in Nonprofit Management, and Master of Human Services Administration.
Strategic Partnerships
As a result of our Coalition with Otterbein University, Antioch has been busy capitalizing on new opportunities generated by our partnership. One such example is a lunch-and-learn this past week at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH, sponsored by Antioch’s Strategic Initiatives and Partnership department. The event was open to employees who expressed interest in undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degree programs. Other Antioch programs represented included Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from the School of Counseling, Psychology, and Therapy, along with the MS in Allied Health and MS in Athletic Training, both part of the new Graduate School of Nursing and Health Professions. We were well received, and this will no doubt be the first of many strategic partner opportunities.
David Norgard, MDiv, MA, DMin
It is with mixed emotions that we begin to say farewell to David Norgard, Teaching Faculty in the Nonprofit Management program in Graduate Management Studies. David has been with Antioch since 2011, when he began teaching on the Los Angeles campus. There, he served as Chair of the MA in Nonprofit Management and as faculty in the Organizational Management master’s program. He is also currently serving as Interim Chair and faculty of Antioch’s online undergraduate programs. David was instrumental in transitioning the campus-based graduate nonprofit program from Los Angeles to its current online delivery format. David has influenced many wonderful students over his career with Antioch and maintains treasured contact with alumni. Please send your congratulations and farewell to David before December 31st, his last day with Antioch, at [email protected]. We wish you well, David. You will be dearly missed.
