Antioch University’s Psychological Services Center Named Keene’s Best Mental Health Services Provider

The 2026 “Keene’s Best” awards have recognized Antioch University’s Psychological Services Center with Gold in the Mental Health Services category. Selected from about a dozen mental health agencies, the Psychological Services Center (PSC) received the top honor for its commitment to providing accessible, high-quality mental healthcare to the Greater Monadnock Region.

“We are deeply honored to receive this recognition from the Keene community,” said Vincent Pignatiello, PsyD, who serves as Director of the PSC. “This award reflects the dedication of our student clinicians, faculty, and staff, who work every day to provide compassionate, affordable mental healthcare. It is especially meaningful because our mission goes beyond providing services today. We are also preparing the next generation of psychologists to make a positive difference in the communities they serve.”

For nearly four decades, the PSC has served a dual mission: providing affordable psychological services to the community and giving valuable training and oversight to the next generation of clinical psychologists. Operated by Antioch University New England’s PsyD in Clinical Psychology program, the center offers individual, couples, family, and group therapy, as well as psychological testing, assessments, and community consultation services. At the same time, for student clinicians who are preparing for careers as psychologists in the region, the center provides hands-on clinical training. Under the supervision of licensed psychologists and faculty, these students—about 10 doctoral students each year—gain professional experience while helping to address the region’s evolving mental health needs.

This fall marks the 37th anniversary of the founding of the PSC. Receiving Gold from the “Keene’s Best” awards is a meaningful recognition of the ongoing impact of its work and the relationships the center has built throughout the region.
