Paula Lowe’s ’24 (GLSC, PhD) book CarePooling: How to Get the Help You Need to Care for the Ones You Love has been recognized as a valuable resource by the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center to support cancer caregivers. It was recently featured at the Wisconsin Cancer Collaborative’s annual statewide Care for the Cancer Caregiver conference, highlighting her ongoing impact on caregivers worldwide.
A researcher and educator, Lowe has authored several books and publications, including CarePooling and HomeWorks. Her poetry work, notably the book Moo, was a finalist for the International Book Award in Poetry in 2015. She co-authored Poems For Endangered Places and contributed poems to numerous journals and anthologies.
Her work focuses on intrapersonal psychology, exploring how internal thought processes, such as mind-wandering, impact our daily lives in environments where we live, learn, and work. As an educational psychology researcher, writer, consultant, trainer, and public speaker, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her diverse professional engagements. Lowe has conducted extensive research, developed learning programs, and provided consultation across various sectors.
