Timothy Staub Publishes International Research on Sustainable Development

Timothy Staub ’25 (GSLC, PhD) recently co-authored a research article, “Value Creation for Sustainable Development at Enterprises,” published in the peer-reviewed journal Sustainable Development.

The research, led by Walter Leal Filho, PhD, of Hamburg University in Germany, brought together scholars from eight countries to examine how businesses can create both economic and social value by pursuing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The international team reviewed 32 case studies involving 199 organizations across 27 countries and 23 industries.

The findings highlight how integrating sustainability goals into business practices can generate meaningful benefits for organizations and society, demonstrating that economic success and social responsibility can go hand in hand.
