Shawna Garritson ‘14 (New England, MED) is the new director of Valley Oak Charter School in Mira Monte, CA. She is an educator with a background in charter schools, having been part of the founding group of Big Sur Charter School. Garritson is using her education’s focus on place to provide children with a connection to their community and personalized education based on how they learn.
