Nonye Ogoamaka ‘11 (Antioch Santa Barbara, MA in Clinical Psychology) was named the new Director of Nursing at Hillside in Santa Barbara, a residential facility serving 59 individuals living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As director of nursing, Ogoamaka will take on the direct supervision of all Nursing Department staff and perform a range of nursing activities related to residents’ care. Dr. Juan “Kiko” Suarez ’14 (PhD, GSLC) has been appointed Chief Academic Officer at Huntington Junior College in Huntington, WV. The appointment was made by HJC President Fred Fransen and is an important step in positioning the college for future success.
