Luzmaria Espinosa ’95 (Santa Barbara, MA) is the new Ventura County Poet Laureate, a position that enables her to promote poetry reading to the residents of the region. Her poetic themes typically focus on Chicano and indigenous culture and issues of social justice, especially as they relate to women.
