Kim Snyder ‘20 (New England, ES, Conservation Biology) accepted the position as an Education Coordinator for Mass Audubon’s Tidmarsh Wildlife Sanctuary.
“While I was a student at Antioch, I took advantage of the flexibility to pursue my target degree (Conservation Biology) while also exploring my interest in Environmental Education,” said Snyder. “Because of my time at Antioch, I was uniquely qualified to accept my current position as an Education Coordinator for Mass Audubon’s Tidmarsh Wildlife Sanctuary.”
Tidmarsh is in the midst of a large-scale environmental restoration initiative. Snyder’s scientific background and education skills have allowed her to create informational programs and materials for a wide variety of audiences, from schoolchildren to conservation professionals, helping make the sanctuary a beloved place of healing for the community.
Earlier this year, she published a comprehensive storymap of the property, detailing its history, current conservation status, and hopes for the future. This living document continues to serve as a community resource introducing residents to the unique history of Tidmarsh as well as a management tool for ongoing work at the sanctuary.
