Jane Feinberg, PhD ‘23, GSLC, recently presented at the SEL Exchange, a national conference hosted by the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL), where she discussed the ways her research has shaped the mission of Power of Place Learning Communities, bridging the gap between theory and practice.
Feinberg’s session entitled, “Being and Becoming Across Difference: Exemplary White Teachers in Racially Diverse Classrooms,” shared insight into ways building relationships across differences involves deeper mindsets, dispositions, and skills than are typically acknowledged.
Feinberg has deep experience in public education, childhood and youth development, relational cultural theory, and arts and culture. She is dedicated to advancing social change by developing individuals’ communication, engagement, learning, and leadership capacities. Her work includes expertise in strategic planning, community engagement, change leadership, network building, and partnership development.
