Dr. Joe Powell ’95, ’98, ‘01 (Antioch Seattle, BA Liberal Studies, MA Education, Graduate Teacher Prep Certificate) is the Principal at Alan T. Sugiyama (ATS) High School in Seattle. Powell and ATS High School were featured in a story in King5 television news story on the school on its work to bridge equity gaps for at-risk youth. Dr. Powell is a member of Antioch Seattle’s School of Education Professional Educator Advisory Board.

Dr. Juan “Kiko” Suarez ’14 (PhD, GSLC) has been appointed Chief Academic Officer at Huntington Junior College in Huntington, WV. The appointment was made by HJC President Fred Fransen and is an important step in positioning the college for future success. As Chief Academic Officer, Suarez is tasked with growing the college’s academic offerings based on the needs of the local business community and national trends.
