Carrie Stone ‘09 (Antioch University New England, MA) has been promoted to Director of Clinical Operations at Elevate Counseling Services. Stone joined Elevate Counseling Services nearly five years ago, first as a clinician, and was soon promoted to Associate Director. She provided clinical supervision to staff, and then Assistant Director. In her new and expanded role, her responsibilities will include training new staff and developing training materials. She has been an integral part of converting the practice’s training procedures to a virtual platform. Before joining Elevate, she spent a decade at Riverside Community Care in Norwood and several years at a private practice in Mansfield, MA. Her specialized areas have included work with adolescents, infertility, postpartum, special needs parenting, and Christian counseling. She has held the LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) designation since 2011.

LeVan D. Hawkins ’11 (Antioch Los Angeles, MFA) has been awarded a Pushcart Prize for his essay, “Both Sissies,” which was published in the Chicago Quarterly Review in 2021. “Both Sissies” is selected for reprint in Pushcart Prize XLV11: Best of Small Presses (2023 edition) November 2022.
