Brook Hale ‘24 (GSLC, PhD) joined the team of scientists at Stanford University of School of Medicine as a qualitative researcher following the publication of her dissertation titled: “The Anatomy of Physician Fulfillment: Strategies Beyond Burnout.”
Hale’s research explores the tension and power struggle between healthcare executives and physicians. She highlights the importance of meaningful patient contact, quality professional relationships, and physician involvement in decision-making as critical factors for fulfillment. Hale identifies potential interventions to bridge the gap between healthcare executives and physicians throughout healthcare organizations.
Hale has over a decade of experience managing healthcare operations and performance improvement initiatives, successfully overseeing physicians, budgets, supply management, and patient services with expertise in the development of dynamic teams.
