Platt, PhD, from Antioch University New England’s Counseling, Psychology, & Therapy department, has published a new chapter in a significant volume on single-session psychotherapy. The chapter, entitled “Single-Session Therapy for Survivors of Acid Attack Violence in Cambodia,” was authored by Miller, J. K., Platt, J.J., & Marn, S., and appears in M. Bobele & A. Slive’s edited volume Implementing single-session psychotherapy: When no appointment is necessary (1st ed.), published by Routledge in 2025. Jason J. Platt, PhD, is a family therapist, educator, and clinical supervisor with more than 25 years of experience working at the intersection of teaching, research, and practice. The chapter addresses the important work of providing therapeutic support to survivors of acid attack violence in Cambodia through innovative single-session therapy approaches.
