Antioch Doctoral Supervisors Lead International Consultation in Mexico City

Four Antioch University doctoral supervisors recently served as special guests at the Universidad de Londres in Mexico City, where they participated in the university’s first Conversatorio en Psicoterapia Internacional. The event brought together nearly 50 psychology students for a live, interactive case consultation led by Antioch faculty and supervisors. Representing Antioch were Pamela M. Anderson, Kei Skeide, Jihan Owens-Tyler, and Alyssa Callaway.

During the consultation, the supervisors engaged with approximately 60 emerging mental health professionals, offering systemic perspectives from U.S. clinical training while also learning from the cultural, contextual, and relational dynamics shaping mental health practice in Mexico. The exchange created a rich space for cross-cultural dialogue, reflective practice, and shared professional growth.

The Universidad de Londres expressed strong enthusiasm for the collaboration and hopes to continue building international partnerships with Antioch University. For students at both institutions, the event highlighted the value of global engagement and the importance of culturally responsive approaches to psychotherapy. This international conversation marks a growing connection between Antioch’s Relational Therapy Division and mental health training programs in Mexico City, with continued opportunities ahead for students, supervisors, and communities on both sides of the border.
