Antioch University announces the launch of its new Master of Organizational Leadership and Change, an innovative graduate degree designed to prepare professionals to lead organizations, teams, and communities through an era of unprecedented change. Beginning in Spring 2027, the fully online, 15-month program equips emerging and experienced leaders with the knowledge, practical experience, and mindset to navigate organizational transformation, technological disruption, and global complexity.
“The challenges facing today’s leaders require far more than technical expertise,” said Mary Ann Short, PhD, Chair of the Graduate Management Studies Department. “Organizations need leaders who are able to navigate complexity, build high-performing teams, lead across cultures, thoughtfully integrate emerging technologies, and create meaningful, sustainable change. The Master of Organizational Leadership and Change was intentionally designed to develop those capabilities.”
The Master of Organizational Leadership and Change features an interdisciplinary curriculum that integrates evidence-based leadership theory with practical application. Students study adaptive and human-centered leadership, global perspectives, ethical decision-making, and the responsible use of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
“Leadership today requires more than managing change. It calls for the capability to inspire collaboration, think systemically, and create positive impact in an ever-increasingly interconnected world,” said Amy Rutstein-Riley, PhD, MPH, Dean, School of Interdisciplinary and Professional Studies. “The Master of Organizational Leadership and Change prepares leaders to navigate complexity with integrity, curiosity, and purpose while making meaningful contributions to their organizations and communities.”
Designed for working professionals across industries and sectors, the program’s flexible, asynchronous online format allows students to advance their education while balancing career and personal responsibilities. Students engage in guided reflection, coaching, and three real-time milestone learning experiences that foster collaboration, networking, and professional growth with faculty and peers.
Students may personalize their education through interdisciplinary electives offered across Antioch University’s School of Interdisciplinary and Professional Studies. Along the way, they earn digital badges recognizing key leadership competencies and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Leadership Practice before completing the master’s degree.
The program concludes with an applied Organizational Leadership and Change Project in which students address a real organizational or community issue. Graduates leave with a Leadership Impact Portfolio showcasing their leadership philosophy, applied projects, digital credentials, and professional achievements, providing tangible evidence of the knowledge and skills developed throughout the program.
Antioch University is building on its more than two decades of leadership and change education by creating a pathway from the Master of Organizational Leadership and Change to its longstanding PhD in Leadership and Change. Graduates who wish to continue their leadership education will have a natural pathway to doctoral study.
