Lee Schwartz Varon Publishes a Kids Book About Overdose to Educate and Support Families

Lee Schwartz Varon ‘95 (Los Angeles, MA) published A Kids Book About Overdose. Varon wrote this book to support, educate, and encourage families going through addiction recovery. The book explains how a drug overdose can happen, what an addiction is, what it may look like if someone overdoses, and what emergency medical help may look like for someone experiencing one. 

Varon is a clinical social worker who has worked with families that have been impacted by substance use disorder. She is also the author of My Brother is Not a Monster: A Story of Addiction and Recovery.
