Jeff Fouche-Camargo Co-Authors Peer-Reviewed Study On Antiracist Nursing Education

Jeff Fouche-Camargo, core faculty and Director of Antioch University’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program, co-authored a peer-reviewed article in Nursing Education Perspectives titled Empowering Students as Advocates for Health Equity: A Multisite Multimethod Study.”

The study examines how integrating antiracist pedagogies in perinatal nursing courses can strengthen students’ understanding of systemic racism’s impact on maternal health and build their capacity to advocate for health equity. Using a multisite, multimethod design grounded in critical race theory, the research team analyzed post-intervention survey findings from 97 baccalaureate nursing students across three universities.
