Associate Chair and Core Faculty for Seattle’s Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology Dana Waters, PsyD, released her second book, Bite-Sized Autism 2: A Deeper Dive.

After being diagnosed as Autistic at the age of 53, Waters founded The Autistic World Advocacy/Activism Knowledge and Empowerment Project, which provides psychoeducation via her website, social media platforms, and books. In 2021, she released her first book, Bite-Sized Autism. Both have received accolades and are available through Amazon.

Given the relentless pace of our world, the bite-sized format of Waters’ book is deliberate, inviting readers to pause and reflect on each illumination of experience on the spectrum.

“This book is more than a collection of facts and figures—it is a celebration of the rich tapestry, lifting the voice of our actual-lived experience rather than the dominant discourse of pathology still largely held by the field of psychology,” wrote Waters. “As you embark on this journey, I hope you can approach each page with an open mind and compassionate heart.”
