Cyndi Cain Fitzgerald ’25 (Online, BA) was honored to be selected as an expert panelist for the 2025 EDUCAUSE Horizon Report | Data and Analytics Edition, an influential annual publication that identifies the trends, technologies, practices, and skills shaping the future of data and analytics in higher education.

“The Data and Analytics Horizon Report research was a perfect fit with my graduate specialization, strategic data leadership for equity and impact,” said Fitzgerald. “It strengthened my focus on women’s leadership in this field and showed how emerging trends can advance equity-centered decision-making in higher education.”

Between April and August 2025, Fitzgerald joined 60+ colleagues to scan the environment, nominate and evaluate emerging trends, and conduct deep-dive analyses exploring their implications for institutions. Their collaborative work informed the report’s recommendations, helping higher education leaders anticipate change, adapt strategies, and prepare for the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving data landscape. The report will be published this Fall.

Fitzgerald is a current student in Antioch’s IMA program and is expected to graduate in 2026.
