Governor Inslee recently signed HB 1621 to address Washington’s teacher shortage, increase access to teacher preparation programs, and support the creation of a more diverse educator workforce. This is in alignment with Antioch’s historically deep respect for educational equity and social justice.
There is perhaps no more important job than teaching. Our education programs help you to succeed during your studies and then in your classroom.
The WEST-B is still required for admission and teacher certification, but you will not need to achieve a specific score. You no longer need to receive a score of 240 or above on the WA Educator Skills Test–Basic (WEST-B) to apply for our program or for teacher certification!
