Antioch University’s Master of Business Administration in Sustainability (MBA) was ranked as one of the top programs by Intelligent.com on its list of Best Online MBA in Sustainability Degree Programs, ranking tenth in “Academic Influence” for the year 2024.
Alberto Soto, a core faculty member teaching in the PsyD in Clinical Psychology offered on Antioch University’s New England campus, recently published a book chapter entitled “Can Psychotherapies Be Effectively Adapted to Cultural Identity (Fit)?” in the APA Handbook of Psychotherapy.
“How can there be such a thing as a nonprofit in a capitalist economy?” asks David Norgard. It’s a bold question as it stands, but it’s even bolder considering it’s central to a class Norgard teaches in Antioch’s MA in Nonprofit Management and in the MBA’s Nonprofit Leadership Concentration.
Earlier this year, Antioch University introduced a new $10,000 scholarship that will be awarded to undergraduates. Called the Undergraduate Founders Scholarship, it highlights the formative and developmental work of Al Erdynast, the first director of Antioch University’s Los Angeles campus, the founder of the undergraduate studies program there, and a key member of the faculty for fifty years and counting.
Antioch University’s MFA in Creative Writing has received the honor of being named one of MovieMaker’s 25 Best Film Schools for 2023, with the magazine recognizing it as one of three standouts for the category of Outstanding Screenwriting Training, alongside Emerson College and UCLA.
Dr. Trisha Swed, a recent alum of the PhD in Leadership and Change, has published her dissertation entitled, Towards an Ecosystem of Youth Leadership Development.
“Social justice has been part of the Antioch mission since its inception,” says Lorraine Mangione, Professor of Clinical Psychology at Antioch University’s New England campus. But implementing that mission requires many different approaches. That’s why, on February 4, faculty and students from Antioch’s New England PsyD program and Seattle PsyD program came together for the second annual Social Justice Symposium, with the theme, “Liberation from Colonialism Now: Promoting Research Activism.”
When I had my brother on the phone a few months ago, he asked me out of the blue if I was proud to be Jewish. I told him, of course, I was. My first book of poetry, which hadn’t been released yet, would be titled Kosher, a title that I chose to pay homage to my Jewish roots (despite not keeping kosher during my meals).
