AUSB’s 16-member, inaugural Women & Leadership Certificate Program cohort completed their first on-campus residency January 10-12, 2014. In addition to initiating the training, the weekend included a series of opportunities for the women to share their experiences – including a welcoming wine and cheese party on the rooftop of AUSB, an evening reception at the home of the Honorable Susan Rose that included the many people who have supported the development and launch of this unique program, and a special panel discussion titled “Been There, Done That, Would Do It Again.”
The energy and diverse skill sets and backgrounds of the students and faculty made for an engaging and successful weekend centered on the study of leadership and gender for the purpose of helping women be successful in their position of influence.
The students will now complete a five-month term in AUSB’s virtual online classroom and will return to campus May 9-11, 2014, for their second residency. They with return in October for the third and final residency and to share their individual leadership projects.
