Torin Finser, Chair of AUNE Department of Education, Presents Webinar on New Book About Parent-Teacher Relationships in Waldorf School

Torin Finser, PhD, chair of the Department of Education at Antioch University New England, recently spoke about parent-teacher relationships and community building in the Waldorf schools movement during a newly published webinar based on the content of his recent book, A Second Classroom: Parent-Teacher Relationships in a Waldorf School.

A Second Classroom book cover FinserIntended to stimulate conversation, self-reflection, and relational practices that awaken community life in and around our schools, A Second Classroom: Parent-Teacher Relationships in a Waldorf School features a comprehensive examination of the parent–teacher relationship in all its dimensions. Finser notes that a healthy school is also a community and that community depends on the quality of relationships—chiefly the relationships among students, teachers, and parents.

In addition to his position at AUNE, Finser is general secretary of the Anthroposophical Society in America.
