Student Speakers Selected for Commencement Ceremony

In keeping with our mission of providing learner-centered education to empower students, three of our graduating students have been selected by a faculty panel to speak at the AUSB 2012 Commencement Ceremony.

Denise Marie Thorpe-Eheler, (BA alum, graduating with MA in Psychology) will speak about Reflecting On Our Unique Journeys – Our Climb Up The Mountain. Joseph Gregoire de Roulhac, (MA Clinical Psychology) will speak about My Antioch Experience. Denise Jaimes-Villanueva, (PsyD Clinical Psychology) will speak about Reflection And Transformation. Additional speakers will include Luis Villegas, Vice Chair of the AUSB Board of Trustees and Dee Dee Barrett, AUSB Trustee and Alum.

The Commencement Ceremony will be held at Fess Parker’s Doubletree Resort hotel in Santa Barbara, this Friday, June 22. The Ceremony will begin at 2:00 p.m. with a reception following at the hotel. Tickets are required to attend the Ceremony. The Ceremony will also be webcast live. Details about the webcast are available on our website here.

International Day of Forests

This year, the theme for the International Day of Forests, “Forests and Health,” is an invitation and an opportunity to reflect on what these expansive ecosystems do for us and how we can, in turn, serve them through conservation, species preservation, mindful nutrition, and ecological awareness.
