“The Addiction Studies Program at Antioch is about forming relationships with human beings. It is very unique in the sense it delivers the modern approach while at the same time instills the traditional methodologies as well. The instructors within the addiction program re-language words, which bring out the human side of addiction and at the same time diminishes its stigma. At Antioch University, there are no addicts, just people who struggle with this disease called addiction… I never realized how sheltered a life I lived until I began studying at Antioch. I will leave with an open mind & leave behind the fishbowl I grew up in.”
