Sobel to Receive Environmental Education Award

David Sobel, core faculty in the Department of Education, will receive the Champion of Environmental Education award from Thorne Nature Experience at its sixth annual Natural Night Out, on October 19 in Boulder, Colorado.

Thorne Nature Experience, formerly Thorne Ecological Institute, was founded in 1954 in Boulder to provide hands-on, place-based environmental education experiences to youth. It has two outdoor education facilities in the Boulder/Denver Metro area: at Sombrero Marsh in Boulder and Waterton Canyon in Littleton.
