Simpson Stresses the Need for Climate Change Adaptation, on The Exchange

Michael Simpson, chair of AUNE’s Department of Environmental Studies,  discusses the need for local communities to adapt to a changing climateone that will be wetter, warmer and with more extreme weather ; on New Hampshire Public Radio’s The Exchange today,  April 10. The show, which aired at 9 a.m., will air again this evening at 8 p.m. Or listen to it online.

Michael and Cameron Wake, climatology professor at the University of New Hampshire Institute for the Study of Earth, Oceans, and Space, are interviewed by The Exchange host, Laura Knoy.

Cameron will be one of the keynote speakers at the LOCAL SOLUTIONS: Northeast Climate Change Preparedness Conference on May 19-21 in Manchester, New Hampshire. At the conference, co-hosted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and organized by Michael, participants will learn how to build healthy, resilient communities.
