Meymuna Hussein-Cattan ’12 (Los Angeles, MA Org. Mgt.) is the co-founder and executive director of the Tiyya Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Santa Ana, CA that works to provide basic necessities and educational opportunities for refugees, immigrants, and displaced American families.

Ruta Shah-Gordon ’16 (GSLC, PhD) was awarded a reciprocal exchange grant from the United States Department of State and the International Research and Exchanges Board to work with Mandela Fellow Charlene Chekenya to collaborate on strengthening responses to sexual harassment in higher and tertiary institutions in Zimbabwe.
