NHBSR Co-Chair to Speak at Net Impact Event September 14

Jeff Allar, co-chair of New Hampshire Businesses for Social Responsibility, will speak at the kick-off event for AUNE’s Net Impact chapter, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday, September 14, in the Community Room. The event, open to all MBA students and faculty at AUNE, will celebrate AUNE’s Net Impact chapter achievement of Gold Status.

Allar will share his observations on what an employer looks for when considering a potential candidate and, from the perspective of a Net Impact member, how a candidate can be sure that the company is truly committed to sustainability and social responsibility.

Allar was formerly vice president of human resources at Stonyfield Farm, the world’s largest organic yogurt manufacturer and a leader in sustainability and social responsibility practices. In that role, he spent considerable time and energy establishing contacts with Net Impact chapters throughout New England and has been a guest speaker at Net Impact chapters at the University of New Hampshire and Marlboro College. Before Stonyfield, he worked for Unilever and IBM.
