New Hampshire Has Best Quality of Life, CNBC Says

CNBC has ranked New Hampshire tops in quality of life, in its listing of “America’s Top States for Doing Business 2012.” It was second in business friendliness and ranked nineteenth overall.

Texas ranked first overall, with Utah second and Virginia third.

In 2011, New Hampshire scored second in quality of life, behind Hawaii, and seventeenth overall.
CNBC took forty-three factors into account, including doing business, quality of life, workforce, and economy. The criteria were developed with input from business groups including the National Association of Manufacturers and the Council on Competitiveness.
