‘Navigating the Maze of Financial Aid’ Antioch University Midwest Special Event 11/17

Financial aid professionals to provide insight and guidance on the financial aid process for students and parents.   

YELLOW SPRINGS, Ohio (Monday, Oct. 29, 2012)—Antioch University Midwest is hosting Navigating the Maze of Financial Aid” where financial aid professionals will help uncover the mysteries and complexities of the financial aid process for students and parents on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 10 am to 11:30 am.

The event is free and open to the public on the AU Midwest campus,

Yellow Springs, Ohio.

According to AU Midwest Financial Aid Director Kathy John this event is designed for anyone who would like to learn more about financial aid for attending college at any level including high school students and parents.

John has assembled a group of financial aid experts to participate in an interactive session covering the basics of financial aid. Attendees will learn:

  • About types of financial aid, including scholarships and where to find them
  • Important information about the FAFSA and how to fill it out
  • How to plan for unexpected life circumstances that may arise while you or your children are in school
  • How to plan to pay for your loans after you graduate

Immediately following Navigating the Maze of Financial Aid” the University will host, Discover Antioch – An Open House for Future Students from 11:30 am to 1 pm. The open house is designed for those interested in learning more about AU Midwest, its history, academic excellence, financial aid, and the programs it offers.

In Second Year, Social Justice Symposium Brings PsyD Students Together For Research Activism

“Social justice has been part of the Antioch mission since its inception,” says Lorraine Mangione, Professor of Clinical Psychology at Antioch University’s New England campus. But implementing that mission requires many different approaches. That’s why, on February 4, faculty and students from Antioch’s New England PsyD program and Seattle PsyD program came together for the second annual Social Justice Symposium, with the theme, “Liberation from Colonialism Now: Promoting Research Activism.”
