KEXP Concerts at the Mural

Join Antioch University Seattle every Friday in August at KEXP’s annual free concerts at the Mural at the Seattle Center. Brought together by a shared commitment to innovative and culturally diverse programming, KEXP and Seattle Center have teamed up to present a summertime series of free outdoor music on the lawn of the Seattle Center Mural Amphitheatre. There will also be a Barbeque on Saturday, Aug. 14.

Take advantage of the warm summer nights and take in the tunes from some of KEXP’s favorite artists, including Elliot Brood, Say Hi and Mt. St. Helen’s Vietnam Band.

Friday, Aug. 6, 13, 20 and 27, 2010 — 5 to 8 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010 — 2 to 9 p.m.

See KEXP’s blog page about the event for more information.

When MaiLinh Hartz, a master’s student in the Couple and Family Therapy program, was younger, people often said she had an old soul. “I was very introspective and had time to listen and absorb people’s stories and emotions,” she explains. As a student, she is expanding what it means to take care of others—not just as a therapist, but as a peer.
