“I chose the MFA program at AULA because I wanted to spend some time nurturing my craft as a writer, learning more about poetry, reading more, expanding my own vocabulary and knowledge. It was something I wanted to do as a gift to myself, to become a better writer. I’m really thankful for the experience; it helped me grow a lot… [The MFA program] allows you to continue to live your life – if you need to travel, if you need to work – but also maintain the consistency of the program.”
