Financial aid professionals to provide insight and guidance on filling out the FAFSA for students and parents.
YELLOW SPRINGS, Ohio (Friday, Jan. 18, 2013)—Antioch University Midwest is hosting a financial aid session “FAFSA 101” where financial aid professionals will help students and parents understand the FAFSA and how to correctly fill it out in order to qualify for federal financial aid on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 10 am to 11:30 am.
The event is free and open to the public on the AU Midwest campus in the Classroom of the Future,

According to AU Midwest Financial Aid Director Kathy John this event is designed for anyone who would like one-on-one help with the FAFSA process for attending college at any level including high school students and parents.
“Our financial aid office gets numerous requests for assistance with this important process that allows people to receive financial aid to achieve their college goals. At our financial aid event in November, we were able to assist a number of students and parents in understanding the overall process,” John said. “
“Now we want to help people get through this necessary but often difficult process to making higher education accessible to as many people as possible. This is one way that we can work with people and help make sure they’re pointed in the right direction.”
John and her team from Antioch University Midwest will be assisting up to 22 people with this important process. Attendees need to bring a copy of their 2012 tax information.
Immediately following Navigating the Maze of Financial Aid” the University will host, Discover Antioch – An Open House for Future Students from 11:30 am to 1 pm. The open house is designed for those interested in learning more about AU Midwest, its history, academic excellence, financial aid, and the programs it offers.
