Education Student Interns at California’s Life Lab

Callia Wolff, a student in the Integrated Learning/Elementary Education program and an intern at the Life Lab Garden Classroom educational center in Santa Cruz, California, wrote about Antioch University New England (AUNE) on Life Lab’s website.

Callia writes that she took the internship because she wanted to learn about the school garden movement, and Life Lab, promoting garden-based learning since 1979, has an excellent reputation. She had previously been an intern at Green Street School in Brattleboro, Vermont.

Callia also writes about why she came to AUNE in August 2010. “Finding the education department at Antioch University New England in Keene, New Hampshire, was one of those ‘yes moments,'” she wrote. “I knew the school’s progressive flavor and commitment to a sustainable world would support a student like me with my vision, passion, and ambition to bring positive change to the world.”
