Drexel Professor to Speak at AUNE February 22

Dr. Kenneth V. Hardy, professor and interim director of the Couple and Family Therapy Department of Drexel University in Philadelphia, will speak on “Deconstructing Power, Privilege, and Experiences of Subjugation,” from 9 to 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 22, in the Community Room of AUNE. The presentation is free and open to the public.

Hardy’s lecture will examine the impact of these issues on relationships in academia.

Hardy is an internationally recognized clinician, author, and trainer. He is also director of the Eikenberg Institute for Relationships in New York City, where he has a private practice specializing in working with traumatized and oppressed populations.

The lecture is sponsored by AUNE’s Marriage and Family Therapy Program and the Keene State College Office of Multicultural Affairs.

Hardy will also speak on “Race: Why Does It (Still) Have Us Walking on Eggshells?” at 7:30 p.m. on February 22, in the Young Student Center, Mabel Brown Room, at Keene State College.
